It’s prime time for holiday parties! Parties may seem like a hurdle, blocking your healthy habits, but there are many ways you can enjoy the festivities AND stay true to your seasonal health goals. Here are my top 3 tips for feeling great before, during and after a holiday shin dig:
- Don’t go to parties hungry! East a small meal 1-2 hours before your event.
- Stay hydrated. I have blogged about water consumption in the past, but this is one tip you should try: if you choose to imbibe, make sure you drink 1 glass of water for each alcoholic beverage.
- Contribute a healthy dish (or two). That way you will know you have options. And feel free to get creative – healthy doesn’t have to be boring! There are some great ideas on Pinterest, such as this Celery Christmas Tree:
